Managed to find herself in the news for controversy I mean...
I was driving along the other day, and this new song came on the radio. After listening to it, I figured it had to be a new Brittney Spears song. I was catching most of the words, however, there were a few that were still getting past me...so I looked it up on line to find the title. All I really had to go with was "if you see her."
Doing a search, I came up with the title "If you seek Amy." I also came up with a whole slew of "why is this song controversial" hits....
Thinking about it, I couldn't figure it out either, except for the fact that it sounded like Brit was chasing after a girl...(yeah, we can't seem to get past that as a society)...but that didn't seem like too big of a deal. After reading some of the explanations, I finally understood the fuss.
Brit made a funny! REALLY, it is pretty creative for someone having such "serious" problems not too long ago. For the slower witted (as I was) translation:
IF-F
You-U
See-C
get it now?
GOOD JOB BRIT! Way to go girl!

Headline fun
From the Denver Post:
Tolls possible for Pena (~ omitted, cause I can't figure out how to type it on here) BLVD.
HOWEVER--the first link said Tolls Possible for Pea Blvd.
So, apparently now you will have to pay to go Pea....
Associated Press:
Marines: Mechanical, Human Errors led to jet crash
narrows it down....
Reuters
Distracted Kindergarteners become gamblers?
LOL
Reuters
German twenty-somethings perfer internet to partner
Guess there is a large chance of saving money that way....

Yay, MOVIES!!!!
So, after a couple of years of --I can wait for that to come out on DVD...this summer is looking up in movie choices according to a perusal through the IMDB:
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans--saw it. Pretty good for a sequel (yes I know it is actually a prequel). The storyline was true to the series, making the other two completely plausible. Couple of let downs--1. No Kate Beckinsale. 2. Bill Nighy wasn't Bill Nighy enough-as he is in the others. 3)Good, but not quite as good.
Fast and Furious: I love the tag line--New Model. Original Parts. Vin, Paul, Michelle, Jordana. 'Nuff Said....
X-Men Origins: Wolverine: It's Wolverine. It's Hugh Jackman. Questions?
Angels and Demons: (note to self, should maybe watch Da Vinci code first..., but since have read both, know what is going to happen anyway...)
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian: Really, another one? Hmmm...
The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3: Saw the preview for this the other day, or was it half the movie (not sure), but it looks fairly interesting.
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs: I LOVE this series, and I am not afraid to admit it.
Public Enemies: Christian Bale/Johnny Depp/Gangsters/1930s/4th of July weekend (with no Will Smith Picture in sight yet?).... *smiles*
G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra: quote IMDB "So the eye-candy factor is high..." With the leatheresque suits on the stills--Yes---yes---it--- is. It is very, very HIGH...
Whiteout: Potential thriller that doesn't need to steal from horror, and parade itself falsely...oh, and Kate Beckinsale ;)
And to end the list with "don't need to see it"--
Virus movies--I think there were about 5 that I counted
Parodies of movies genres: 2 or 3
Creepy kid movies--3 or 4 (movies where a child character is creepy, not creepy children's genre movies)
Weird kid movies--3 or 4 (movies where the children's genre is weird, not the child character)
On going "they should stop already" sequels--4 or 5
Bring on the popcorn!

Shoppers be ware
It is the season to go shopping--Christmas presents, sales, self indulgences... Now, to be honest, I am not a big fan of shopping--really. I do like to shop for certain things --food, books, home decor, bath products, and occasionally shoes (notice clothes are not on the list). I am not one of those people who regularly shops online either. HOWEVER, after reading the following articles, I wonder if shopping online is not the way to go.

Guns don't kill people, idiots with guns kill people and the world is full of idiots....
Apparently some people have deemed it necessary to carry a gun to appreciate enjoying a National Park... I can understand people wanting to protect themselves and their family and property, but the National Parks are NOT the place we need a bunch of random people running around with guns. If I were a ranger and on a traffic stop, I would want to be sure I was the only one with a gun. Other viewpoints:

November already?
So, it's a long time after the last post...yeah really long time.
I have a "permanent" job now!---with a "mandatory vacation" of a few months every year. I am making less now--due to benefits--than I did as a seasonal employee. My housing is still up in the air--and it is getting into winter time...The "new thing" didn't work out--for the better I am convinced. An "old thing" flared up, and fizzled, like it does on a regular basis.
yeah, that's life...
